The Bad Guys 2

If you loved the first The Bad Guys movie, get ready—because the crew is back, and things are wilder than ever in The Bad Guys 2. This animated heist comedy from DreamWorks Animation brings back the fan-favorite gang of reformed animal criminals, but this time, they’re trying to stay on the straight and narrow. Well, sort of.
The story kicks off with the Bad Guys—Wolf, Snake, Shark, Piranha, and Webs—trying to live the good life after their stint in prison. But when a mysterious new criminal group called the Bad Girls hijacks their plans, the gang is pulled into a globe-trotting, high-stakes heist they never saw coming. With new characters like Kitty Kat, Doom, and Pigtail shaking things up, the Bad Guys are forced to team up with their female counterparts for one last big mission. Expect fast-paced action, clever twists, and plenty of laughs along the way.
Directed by Pierre Perifel and co-directed by JP Sans, the film features returning voice talents like Sam Rockwell, Marc Maron, Awkwafina, Craig Robinson, and Anthony Ramos. Newcomers Danielle Brooks, Maria Bakalova, and Natasha Lyonne bring fresh energy to the mix, while Zazie Beetz, Richard Ayoade, and Alex Borstein reprise their roles from the first film. The animation, handled by both DreamWorks and Sony Pictures Imageworks, looks slick and stylish, and Daniel Pemberton’s score keeps the momentum going.
Critics have responded positively, with an 84% rating on Rotten Tomatoes and a solid “A” CinemaScore from audiences. It’s a fun, fast-paced sequel that raises the stakes without losing the charm and mischief that made the original a hit.
If you’re into animated comedies with a bit of action and a lot of heart, The Bad Guys 2 is right up your alley. It’s perfect for families, fans of the first movie, or anyone who enjoys a clever heist story with talking animals. On the flip side, if you’re not into animated films or prefer more grounded storytelling, this might not be your thing.
Either way, The Bad Guys 2 delivers a playful, energetic ride that proves being bad (or trying to be good) can still be a whole lot of fun.
